iFoster is a national non-profit providing life-changing resources to children and youth in foster care and this is a Call to Action video I made for them. iFoster programs target economic barriers and provide free and discounted resources to meet the developmental needs of children and youth in care. iFoster’s “1 Laptop per Foster Youth” program aims to make sure that every youth in foster care has access to a computer. iFoster members currently support over 1.8 Million vulnerable children and youth.
iFoster is a national non-profit with a mission of providing life-changing resources to children being raised outside of their biological homes.
Children in foster and kinship care need the same resources and opportunities as children being raised by biological parents. Tragically, foster children receive on average less than 50% of what the USDA says is the average cost of raising a child.
iFoster is making this happen by building a bridge between the child welfare system and the corporations, foundations, organizations and individuals who can help them succeed. iFoster is building the largest and most inclusive online community of people and organizations raising foster children and youth, with over 30,000 members in all 50 states raising over 3 million children and youth. On behalf of this community, iFoster forms partnerships with hundreds of companies, government agencies, non-profits, and foundations who can supply the critical resources, supports and opportunities these children and youth need.
